Alila joins Commune

Alila has announced that it is entering into a fully integrated model with Commune. The company joins Commune’s portfolio of brands including Joie de Vivre Hotels, Thompson Hotels and Tommie.

Mark Edleson, President of the Asia Office for Commune Hotels & Resorts, comments: “Nothing will change except that in addition to Alila, we now have three other brands which we hope to develop in the region. The combination of Alila’s footprint and experience in Asia, combined with the infrastructure, resources and global reputation of Commune will mean a greater global exposure and distribution platform for our existing hotels and property under development.”

The Alila corporate office in Singapore will trade as regional office Asia of Commune Hotels & Resorts therefore the Singapore based executive team will continue to manage the Commune portfolio in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Every Alila property will retain its name, branding and positioning.

Frederic Simon, Chief Executive Officer, Asia, Commune Hotels & Resorts, adds: “This development allows flexibility for our Singapore team to maintain brand positioning for Alila as well as the three new brands under our management, maintaining the personal approach that we valued, while expanding our resources and global reach. This is a major milestone in the growth of the Alila Company.”

The Alila and Commune brands all share a commitment to a purpose-driven ethos, desirable destinations and immersive, inspiring experience rooted in each hotel’s location.

With Commune Hotels and Resorts in Asia, it can now cater to the diverse interests of its global travellers for business and leisure, with the ability to customise their pursuit of eco-luxury, adventure, cultural and community discovery and interaction.
