Anantara unveils its first Spanish resort

Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas has opened its first property in Spain with the 132-key Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benhavis Marbella. Set on the Andalusian coast, the property boasts over 1,200 original works of art – a mixture of paintings, sculptures and artefacts throughout the grounds and gardens – as well as private terraces overlooking the property’s golf courses, with views of the sea beyond, and, on clear days, the mountains of Morocco.

Anantara’s signature Dining by Design offers al fresco feasting in private courtyards or amphitheatres. The resort also includes a branch of Spain’s well-known 99 Sushi Bar and Restaurant, as well as a new concept restaurant, O by Paco Roncero, launched by the eponymous double Michelin-starred chef. Elsewhere, famed mixologist Diego Cabrera, has been enlisted to contribute to Eddy’s Bar at the hotel.

Other facilities of the resort include a spa; a swimming pool; various sports facilities; and the Club de Mar beach club. Situated in Marbella’s ‘Golden Triangle’ golf region, the resort comprises three 18-hole golf courses and the Tramores golf academy by Michael Campbell.
