Le Petit Pali, the newest addition to Avi Brosh’s Palisociety portfolio, has opened its fourth bed and breakfast hotel in Laguna Beach, Southern California.
Situated on Laguna Beach’s Coast Highway at the southern end of the town, the two-storey coastal inn is a Mid-Century era property reimagined with 41 king and suite guestrooms, each designed in Le Petit Pali style by Brosh and team.
The hotel is layered in European-inspired charm with a blend of British countryside and vintage California coastal inspiration, a signature of the Le Petit Pali moniker and uniquely styled to complement the relaxed yet refined sensibility synonymous with Laguna Beach.
The exterior, awash in the brand’s signature deep, dark green and white colour palette, is accented by rattan and brass fixtures. Striped outdoor lounge furniture sits atop pale coral stone tile adorned with terracotta and blue and white Chinoiserie planters, each filled with native species including lavender, citrus trees and palms.
Inside, the Palisociety property welcomes guests into an intimate lobby reminiscent of a private seaside home complete with ocean views, a flood of natural light and a gracious central bar serving everything from early morning breakfast to afternoon cocktails. A mix of custom and vintage furnishings inspire lazy lounging, while design details such as rattan lighting, grass cloth-adorned walls, deep red ceiling beams, potted greenery and decorative tile add interest and irreverent style.
Guestrooms, some of which offer partial ocean views, feature richly layered textures and patterns, a weathered palette of muted blues and greys, wood flooring and accents, and a blend of custom, vintage and antique art and décor. Each room is equipped with Diptyque bath amenities, Bellino fine linens, plush robes and slippers, Marshall speakers, Grind espresso machines and Smeg mini fridges featuring locally sourced items.
Le Petit Pali Laguna Beach’s central pool area is nestled in the centre of the property among soaring palm trees with an elevated ocean view lounge deck, preppy striped furniture and umbrellas.
“Laguna Beach immediately felt like a symbiotic home for Le Petit Pali,” says Avi Brosh, founder and CEO of Palisociety. “The backdrop of the Pacific Ocean on one side and the storied hillside on the other gives this hotel a tucked away allure, but it’s the innate creativity and laissez faire style the community is well known for that brings this property to life with incredible vibrancy and an authentic sense of quintessential California beach town charm that’s the perfect backdrop for our style of hospitality.”
