Campbell House designing renovated InterContinental Chantilly Château Mont Royal

Campbell House will be leading the redesign of the historic Chateau Hotel Mont Royal Chantilly, set to reopen as an InterContinental hotel in 2024.

The 107-room property, operated by IHG Hotels & Resorts, will be fully renovated by the firm, with rooms and suites, two restaurants, a bar and terrace, as well as eleven meeting rooms set for redesign. The hotel’s indoor pool and spa will also be reopening with a fresh new look.

Built in the 20th century with Louis XVI style architecture, the building is a former hunting lodge commissioned by French composer Fernand Halphen. With construction finalised in 1911, the property later became a hotel in 1990.

“Château Hôtel Mont Royal has been for decades a symbol of Chantilly’s rich cultural heritage, and now that it becomes an InterContinental hotel, we are delighted that our timeless approach combining the legacy features of its architecture and interiors with contemporary opulent elements have been selected by the owners to translate their vision for the future of the château, whilst remaining true to the traditional values of such an outstanding address,” comments Jese Medina-Suarez, Creative Director at Campbell House. “We are excited to work on such a unique property along with our partners.”

Under a management agreement with Groupe BMF and Groupe PFH, the property will join IHG Hotels & Resorts as InterContinental’s flagship hotel in France upon reopening in 2024.
