Chia Laguna reveals new hotel
Sardinia’s Chia Laguna resort, part of the Italian Hospitality Collection brand, has announced that its fully refurbished Hotel Baia will open its doors on 20 May. New additions to the property include two new restaurants, a bar, a semi-Olympic swimming pool and 77 guestrooms and suites. The renovations are the latest stage of a €50 million investment plan for Chia Laguna, which began in 2011 and resulted in a 60% rise in UK guests throughout 2016.
Hotel Baia’s 77 new, light and airy guestrooms are available in four categories, with the majority interconnecting and sleeping up to three guests. The spacious new Junior Suites offer two rooms and an ocean view, and can sleep up to four guests. Elsewhere a spacious new 140m², two-bedroom Suite titled Incanto features a large garden, two double-rooms with sitting areas, and en-suite bathrooms.
A new semi-Olympic 25m infinity pool with a separate children’s area will be situated in the hotel’s gardens, whilst two new dining spaces, La Pergola and Whiteluna, will serve up Sardinian and Mediterranean slow cooking. Meanwhile, the new poolside bar, Il Canneto, will provide a light lunch or an early evening cocktail.
Chia Laguna is a collection of four hotels set amongst the countryside of southern Sardinia. The wider complex features a mini club and babysitting services, land and sea sports, a new Natural Spa and nine restaurants in total.
