CitizenM opens flagship hotel in Paris
Concrete is set to unveil new development CitizenM Gare de Lyon in Paris, becoming the 12th property in the CitizenM collection.
The opening follows CitizenM La Defénse in May 2017, and marks the brands the third property in Paris. Located within a former office tower block, close to Gare de Lyon train station, the property features 338 comfortable guestrooms and is topped with a Parisian-apartment-style CloudM skybar.
The public areas on the second floor have been designed with the aesthetic of chambre en suite, appearing as a series of living areas that are all sub-divided. In the heart of the living rooms is canteenM, a lively space to eat, drink and socialise.
The space also includes an open-air patio with hanging lanterns, dividing the bar from the meeting rooms and bringing light deep into all the public areas. Dotted around the space are the signature black CitizenM cabinets filled with colourful and quirky accessories and objects from all over the world.
As with all CitizenM hotels, the walls are decorated with specially commissioned artworks, including a bespoke mural created by French street artist Mast Cora, and a fresco by local artist Romain Froquet.
CitizenM is also developing hotels in Copenhagen, Zurich, New York, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai, scheduled to open in 2018.
