Domaine de Murtoli, a purveyor of sustainable hospitality in Corsica, has unveiled A Mandria di Murtoli – a new hotel nestled in the preserved Ortolo Valley, between sea, maquis and mountains.
The property, envisioned as a nature retreat, combines authenticity, contemporary elegance and environmental respect, staying true to the Domaine’s philosophy.
Designed like an intimate pastoral hamlet, the hotel comprises a main house with a duplex suite and four bedrooms, two former sheepfolds converted into rooms and suites, a former stable housing two adjoining suites, and a former barn converted into a suite.
Each lodging offers sweeping valley views and provides private access to outdoor spaces, terraces, gardens or pools. The overall aesthetic blends noble materials, Corsican craftsmanship, clean lines and Mediterranean accents.

To embrace sustainability, A Mandria di Murtoli was built using local materials and respecting traditional Corsican architecture, exemplifying landscape integration. The site, a former pastoral area, has been rehabilitated with an ecological and heritage approach, faithful to the Domaine’s commitment to responsible tourism.
The estate emphasises sustainable practices including rational water management, renewable energies, short supply chains, preserved biodiversity and collaborations with Corsican artisans.
A Mandria di Murtoli General Manager Santa Canarelli comments: “This place was designed to offer an intimate and authentic experience, where the Mediterranean art of living flourishes while preserving the Murtoli spirit in an elegant and warm setting.”
