Domes Resorts is set to continue its international expansion after taking over of The Lake Spa Resort, a 192-room property in Portugal’s Vilamoura region which it will convert before reopening in early 2022.

After a successful year, which saw the repositioning and renovation Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection, the brand is partnering with Hotel Investment Partners (HIP) – the largest owner of resort hotels in Southern Europe, backed by funds managed by Blackstone – once more to strengthen its presence in Europe.

The €7million investment by HIP will finance the refurbishment of all rooms and public areas, including the creation of a new adults-only pool and bar, and the rebranding of F&B outlets as Domes dining concepts.
