FIRST LOOK: Rosa et al Townhouse opens in Porto
The Bed and Brunch Collection property, which opened late last year, comprises only six elegant and spacious exclusive varanda suites. Each offers wooden floors, warm lighting, luxurious natural materials and soaking clawfoot tubs, in addition to an in-room spa and a balcony with a garden or city view. Original decorative plasterwork ceilings and contemporary permanent art commissions complete the classic design effect.
The nineteenth century townhouse is decorated with a range of vintage, modern and contemporary design furniture and objects, including pieces by Charles and Ray Eames, Jean Prouvé and Hans Wegner, amongst others. Public areas include a luminous skylight private library, coffee shop, restaurant and a concept store, Bazaar Brunch.
The hotel is the architectural project of Emanuel de Sousa and has been awarded with the Respect for Architecture 2012 Porto award by Ordem dos Arquitectos.
