Ennismore has unveiled an exclusive first-look at The Hoxton, Rome, opening this Spring.

Marking the brand’s 10th hotel, the 192-key property will boast a large coffee bar and takeaway counter, a light-flooded restaurant, and an outdoor terrace.

Ennismore Design Studio have transformed the ‘70s building into a Hoxton, collaborating with Fettle Design for the public spaces, taking cues from the building’s original details and the rich architecture of the Eternal City.

As with all Hoxton hotels, the ground floor will be a destination for both locals and travellers: comprising a large open lobby laden with statement vintage seating and set around a central fireplace; a sleek all-day diner with a farm-to-table ethos; coffee bar and shaded outdoor terrace.

The guest rooms draw inspiration from the nostalgic interiors of classic Italian cinema, for which Rome is celebrated. These will feature rustic parquet floors, lacquered timbers and local stones, whilst the brightly coloured bathrooms nod to mid-century Italian design.

Each room will feature rich timber wall panelling, a bespoke statement headboard and an eclectic mix of furniture, while some larger guest rooms also feature Murano glass chandeliers reclaimed from the building.

L’Appartamento, set in the lower ground floor, will be a dedicated meeting and events space with five rooms of varying size. Centred around a communal pantry kitchen, each room will include timber floors, bold statement rugs, and vintage Italian accents.

Located in the tip of the Parioli neighbourhood, The Hoxton, Rome is surrounded by local trattorias, boutiques and cultural attractions such as the MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art) and MAXXI (National Museum of 21st Century Art). The hotel is also within walking distance of Villa Borghese and the Coppede district, a charming area peppered with Art Nouveau buildings.
