Four Seasons Whistler debuts updated look

Situated at the base of Whistler Blackcomb ski resort, Four Seasons Resort Whistler has revealed its refreshed interiors, providing an updated take on the classic mountain lodge.

The unveiling of the 273-key resort’s new look comes in anticipation of 2019/2020 ski season, with revamps beginning began in spring this year. Interiors, led by Vancouver-based design studio Dialog, take inspiration from Whistler’s impressive location and combine contemporary elements with classic alpine décor to elevate the concept of après-ski style.

Each guestroom features a granite fireplace and a balcony that overlooks the mountain views, while other details such as the brass bedside light fixtures and sculptural ceiling lights are kept subtle, ensuring the surrounding vistas are the primary focus.

Elsewhere, mid-century-inspired fittings such as iron-frame leather chairs and ashwood credenzas are juxtaposed with warm, raw-edged coffee tables, while traditional bed frames are complemented with plush wallcovering in a rustic yet polished woven material. Additional touches in the guestrooms include the Interior & Tonic experience, which provides a bar complete with a selection of gins and tonics curated by Vancouver mixologist Lauren Mote, allowing guests to après in their rooms.
