Hotel Glorieta, a new leisure resort perched on a hilltop above downtown Santa Fe, has officially opened in October 2025, unveiling thoughtfully reimagined spaces by French and French Interiors.
Now owned by Bullwhip Capital and JMI Realty – who are also behind Santa Fe’s El Rey Court – the 128-key property features public spaces inspired by Santa Fe’s landscape, history and culture, including a music venue, bar and lounge, outdoor pool and hot tub, and direct access to BLM land.
The property, formerly The Lodge at Santa Fe, was originally built in 1976, and has been transformed to reflect a modern interpretation of Santa Fe style. Warm wood tones and contemporary silhouettes greet guests in the lobby, which also houses a curated retail and merch shop offering branded items such as vintage inspired tees and local artisan wares.

Newly renovated public spaces capture the cultural vibrancy of Santa Fe, including The Marigold Room, an intimate hub for live entertainment. Outdoors, the Leisure Club features an outdoor pool and hot tub on a refreshed pool deck with custom bolsters in earthy tones and ivory outdoor sofas, while a barrel sauna will be installed shortly following the opening.
Each of the 128 guestrooms and suites highlight the hotel’s original architectural character with black vigas, a hallmark of Southwestern-style design. Rough-hewn ceiling beams and modern Southwestern-style rugs are paired with pine furniture that was preserved and elevated to create a contemporary and moody palette that reflects the artistic roots of Santa Fe.
Rooms now feature rich smoky green walls, while suites boast a deep taupe colour, offering private balconies with views of the surrounding mountains, wood-burning fireplaces, jetted tubs, four-poster king beds and wet bars. Select suites also include Casita-style entrances separate from the main hotel.

Designed for both leisure and events, Hotel Glorieta also boasts a variety of indoor and outdoor venues, including an expansive outdoor lawn situated in front of an intimate Chapel, and the Maravilla Ballroom for weddings and grander affairs, while The Marigold Room and Lady Duff’s Lounge – the new lounge and cocktail bar – can be reserved for private parties catered by the hotel.
“Santa Fe has long inspired us with its depth of culture, history, and creative spirit,” says Jeff Burns, Partner at Bullwhip Capital. “With Hotel Glorieta, we’re honoured to grow in a city where every street tells a story, and to create a place that invites both travellers and locals to experience that narrative in a thoughtful and lasting way.”
