Hyatt has announced the opening of Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa – the first Grand Hyatt hotel to open in Spain and the fourth property from the brand in Europe.

In preparation for its opening, Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa has undergone extensive refurbishment, with its 192 guestrooms transformed using colours inspired by the surrounding landscape and spa-inspired marble bathrooms. Taking inspiration from the area’s striking Mediterranean architecture and Moorish influences, the property sees designs by Room 1804 delivering a luxurious sense of place. The hotel’s guestrooms, including its seven signature suites, overlook both the hills of Calblanque park and the Mediterranean Sea.

At the heart of the hotel’s transformation is its new 18,298ft² wellness centre. The Arabian-inspired Alma Spa – meaning ‘water’ in Arabic and ‘soul’ in Spanish – uses Natura Bissé skincare products across six treatment rooms, and also comprises a hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory circuit and infinity pool.

“Scaling our luxury, lifestyle and leisure portfolio is central to Hyatt’s plan to grow our brand presence across Europe,” says Javier Águila, Group President EAME, Hyatt. “We are grateful for our continued collaboration with Grupo Inversor Hesperia, in making Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa a striking example of the Grand Hyatt brand delivering on its promise of celebrating the iconic in both the small details and magnificent moments.

When it comes to F&B, Grand Hyatt boasts 11 distinct dining destinations, from a rustic Italian trattoria to an izakaya sushi bar, while large gatherings can be hosted across the hotel’s eight meeting rooms, which span across 13,863ft².

Ángel Holgado, General Manager concludes: “Every Grand Hyatt hotel is carefully designed as a destination within a destination and the newly opened Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa sets the bar high when it comes to delivering a luxury travel experience with an abundance of options for our discerning guests.”
