Grupo Habita has announced The Hollander Chicago, a hotel offering a social-stay concept where guests will be able to engage and connect with each other prior to their visit through Instagram.

Developed by Chicago-based Convexity Properties and operated by Grupo Habita, The Hollander will be located in the historic five-storey brick Hollander Fireproof Warehouse. Designed by French studios Ciguë and Delordinaire, the property will offer 12 private guestrooms and 8 shared guestrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and personal lockers. There will be a café serving freshly brewed coffee from Metric Coffee, ground floor laundry facilities and an onsite bike rental and repair shop from Banker Supply Co. Additional amenities will include a Social Room hosting special events and programming, complimentary WiFi, and Beesential natural skincare products.

Guests who choose to book a Social Stay room will have the option to share their Instagram photos and see the Instagram profiles of other guests sharing the room. The Hollander’s integration with social media aims to forge a community where digitally connected travellers can meet and share their adventures during their stay.
