Hotel Eden sets reopening date

Dorchester Collection has announced the April 2017 reopening date of Hotel Eden in Rome.

Having undergone extensive restoration work since closing in November 2015, the updates will aim to add to the hotel’s original design while preserving its spirit. The project will unveil 98 redesigned guestrooms and suites, and will offer a dynamic food and drink concept with enhanced panoramic views. Hotel Eden will also introduce a new urban spa to the property, complete with four suites featuring a fusion of signature treatments and wellness offerings by Sonya Dakar and Officina Profumo.

The restoration will blend contemporary features with the authentic classic Roman style of the property. Interior designers Bruno Moinard and Claire Betaille of 4BI & Associates, together with Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku from Jouin Manku, have all been appointed to the project.

Moinard, who previously completed the redesign of the public spaces at Hôtel Plaza Athénée, has overseen the interior decoration of the lobby, guestrooms and suites, while Jouin and Manku are responsible for the restoration of the sixth floor restaurants and bar.

Luca Virgilio, General manager, comments: “Hotel Eden has a rich heritage and prominent location in the heart of Rome. While it continues to rank as one of the top hotels in the world, the restoration programme will revitalise the property and lead it into its next chapter. Our vision is to create a property that will continue to enchant both local residents and international travellers alike and we cannot wait to welcome guests this spring.”
