Hotel Football slated for March opening

GG Hospitality’s Hotel Football is set to open on 2 March 2015 located opposite Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium, Manchester.

The hotel and conference facility will feature match-specific highlights as well as chain-restaurant Café Football. The world’s first “football hotel” is set to offer the ultimate match day experience, with bespoke corporate hospitality packages, as well as being home to The Old Trafford Supporters Club.

GG Hospitality is headed by former Manchester United team members Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, with Phil Neville and fellow Class of 92 members Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt becoming involved in the building project.

Talking about the new development, Gary Neville said: “Ryan and I have spent so much of our lives playing at Old Trafford and appreciate everyone who supported us there over the years.

“To make sure that the hotel appeals to everyone, not just football fans, we are working with some of the most talented people in the industry to create something unique and inviting – with a focus on excellent customer service.”

The 10-storey building, located on Sir Matt Busby Way will feature 133 guestrooms, each complete with a 40-inch TV and fully stocked retro minibar. The hotel will also incorporate Café Football, a restaurant chain launched by Giggs and Neville, with one branch already open in London. The Manchester eatery will have a menu designed by two Michelin star chef, Michael Wignall with twists put on terrace favourites such as sausage rolls. Meanwhile the hotel will also boast a conference centre and even a five-a-side football pitch on the roof.
