Hôtel Métropole Monte‐Carlo has opened The Spa Métropole by Guerlain, the only Spa by Guerlain in the Principality. The spa represents a key milestone in the hotel’s renovation, which will also introduce new rooms, later this summer.
Designed by interior architect Samy Itani of Itani & Courtois, the spa features clean lines in a calm, light‐filled setting, reflecting a place of quiet retreat. The mineral aesthetic combines stone, raw wood and textured finishes in natural tones, while focused lighting accentuates form and shape. Every element embraces the craft and heritage of the House of Guerlain.

Art plays a central role in the spa, reflecting Hôtel Métropole Monte‐Carlo’s collection of modern and contemporary works – including Picasso, Francis Bacon and Andy Warhol – which are displayed in the Lobby Bar. Within the spa, three poetic, silk‐paper sculptures by Claudine Drai are woven into the design, reinforcing introspection and emotional resonance while blending seamlessly into the architecture of the space.

Sustainability was also a key player in the redesign of the Spa Métropole by Guerlain. The use of natural, durable materials such as stone, raw wood and mineral pigments reduces environmental impact while creating a serene, organic aesthetic.
This eco‐conscious approach aligns with Guerlain’s long‐standing commitment to sustainability, most notably its Guerlain for Bees programme, dedicated to preserving biodiversity and protecting bee populations worldwide.

The spa features 10 treatment rooms offering treatments that cater to all, with tailored options for men, sensory experiences for children and elevated rituals for couples. An additional area by Bastien Gonzalez offers curated pedicures and manicures, and a sauna, hammam and ultra‐modern fitness studio complete the sensory journey.
