IHG announces Mazatlan opening

InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Resort Mazatlan Hotel in Mazatlan Mexico. The newbuild 164-key beachfront property is the first Holiday Inn Resort in Sinaloa State and the fourth in Mexico, joining the Holiday Inn Resort Acapulco, Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos and the recently opened Holiday Inn Resort Ixtapa properties.

The Holiday Inn Resort Mazatlan is the newest hotel on the beach in the Golden Zone.  Featuring views of the Pacific Ocean and Deer Island, its 164 guestrooms include 21 suites and two KidSuites, and feature comfortable queen, king-sized or two double beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair, 49” HD flat screen TV and an in-room coffee machine with complimentary coffee.

The hotel’s amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness centre, business centre and several meeting rooms with capacity for up to 160 people. The hotel’s Concordia restaurant serves both international and regional dishes and Guests can also enjoy a drink in the Bar La Vinata or at the 13th floor rooftop Skybar El Vigia.

One of Mexico’s most important commercial and tourism ports, Mazatlan is at the confluence of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortes. The city’s quality and diversity of attractions, including Old Mazatlan’s historic downtown, the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Plaza Machado and the Malecon of Mazatlan, make it a unique destination for sightseeing.
