IHG brings Indigo to Brisbane

InterContinental Hotels Group and Pointcorp have signed a management agreement for a newbuild Hotel Indigo, set to be located in Fortitude Valley – Brisbane’s cultural and creative centre. The 140-key hotel on Brunswick Street will be the first Hotel Indigo signing for Australia and New Zealand, and is slated for a 2020 opening.

Hotel Indigo Brisbane Fortitude Valley will aim to bring to life the unique vibe of the valley, home to the city’s cultural, creative, music, fashion and gastronomy scenes. Its Brunswick Street location will allow guests to explore the the area’s art galleries, laneway restaurants and boutique stores during their stay, in addition to the Valley’s nightclubs and live music venues.

Hotel Indigo Brisbane Fortitude Valley will be part of a mixed-use development that will also include residential, commercial office and retail spaces. It is expected to be the first development of its kind in the area.

Hotel Indigo is IHG’s lifestyle boutique hotel, with each property designed to reflect the culture, history and heritage of its local neighbourhood. From the building’s design to the hotel’s artwork and locally inspired menus, guests can look forward to an intimate boutique hotel experience with the international standards promised by a global hotel company.
