Sleeper Media has announced that the AHEAD Asia 2020 awards ceremony, due to be held at Andaz Singapore on Thursday 12 March, has been cancelled due to continuing uncertainty surrounding the spread of coronavirus. The epidemic was recently declared a global health emergency by the World Health Organization.
Editor-in-Chief Matt Turner commented: “This decision has not been taken lightly and follows extensive consultation with our partners and stakeholders both in Singapore and around the world. We remain committed to celebrating the best in hospitality experience and design across the Asia-Pacific region and look forward to announcing our winners online at www.aheadawards.com on Thursday 12 March.”
