Katamama opens in Indonesia

PTT Family has announced the opening of Katamama, a boutique hotel showcasing Indonesian craftsmanship and artisanal details.

Designed by Indonesian architect Andra Martin, with interiors a collaboration between Ronald Akili, the PTT Family Creative Team and Singapore-based design company Takenouchi Webb, Katamama sees a combination of locally sourced decorative elements and native artisanal pieces.

The property’s 268m2 rooftop suites are comprised of a king size bed, floor to ceiling windows, living and dining areas, and an interior staircase leading to a private rooftop garden with a jacuzzi, outdoor shower and lounge area. Meanwhile, the 320m2 Katamama Suite boasts the same features, in addition to a fully stocked mini-bar, a fern garden and two bedrooms with views over the Indian Ocean. All suites incorporate custom-made furnishings and mid-century artisanal pieces throughout open living plans.

Decorative elements include a personal bar station designed by Akademi, bespoke reed diffusers created by retaW and naturally-dyed, hand woven bath robes from Blahbatuh Village.
