After two years of careful renovation carried out in close collaboration with local artisans, La Maison Le Chevreuil is set to open its doors in September 2026 in the heart of Meursault.
Located in the village of Côte de Beaune – home to some of the world’s finest wines – the hotel is designed as an open house, with the lobby conceived as a gathering place. Its curved lines in stained oak create an enveloping space that invites lingering.
La Maison Le Chevreuil is reborn through a precise architectural renovation, led jointly by Aubin Prost and Johanna Leserre. Bridging heritage and modernity, the transformation preserves the spirit of the place while infusing it with a sober, refined contemporary elegance.
At the heart of the house lies Terre, a food and wine concept spread across several spaces. Here, the furniture defines the interiors, with lower-than-standard dining seating encouraging a more relaxed posture and a sense of being grounded in the space.
Local materials are given a bold, modern second life, such as the original Corton stone – a symbol of the region, it is reused and incorporated into a contemporary terrazzo. At the bar, the counter is made of rammed earth, creating a tactile and symbolic experience where guest can to drink wine while brushing against the earth from which it comes.
Each of the hotel’s 10 rooms has been designed around the strong, almost didactic DNA of winemaking. Rounded showers evoke the wine vats of local vintners, wine-colored tones recall the richness of the surrounding vineyards, while custom dark-wood furniture conveys understated, contemporary elegance.
Each piece of furniture has been custom-designed by Johanna Leserre and crafted in a Burgundian workshop from carefully selected local wood. Every line, joint, and detail has been conceived to contribute to the rooms’ deep, authentic character. The forms are understated yet unexpected, a simplicity that gives strength and richness to each space.
Designed to blend aesthetics and comfort, all rooms enjoy views over the vineyard or the village square, and feature a tea station, a work area, a walk-in closet, and a television, inviting guests to enjoy the Le Chevreuil experience in a setting that is both refined and functional.
