Leeu Estates opens in South Africa

Leeu Estates, an exclusive five-star boutique property located in the Franschhoek valley area of South Africa, has opened its doors.

Comprising 17 guestrooms and suites across three farms and 168-acres of vineyards and landscaped gardens, Leeu Estates was designed by architects Tomeu Esteva, Graham Goosen and Johan Malherbe, with interiors by Beverly Boswell. Hector de Galard, Managing Director of Leeu Collection, has overseen the project.

With a refurbished 19th century manor house at its core, the estate features spacious gym, spa, wine studio, and conference facilities, as well as dining services with a culinary team lead by resident chef Oliver Cattermole.

Matthew Smith, Area General Manager of Leeu Collection comments: “With quality service a hallmark of everything we do at Leeu Collection, the team at Leeu Estates is prepared to deliver only the best, because that is what defines us.”

Customised architectural detailing and textures in a calm colour scheme define the individually styled guestrooms and suites, each featuring curated artwork and sculptures from various countries, and fully equipped marble bathrooms. Many have their own terraces and fireplaces, and all enjoy idyllic vineyard and mountain views. Dining facilities include an al fresco option on the garden terrace, which seats up to 40 people.

“I am extremely pleased to see my dream turning into a reality,” says Leeu Collection’s Founder, Analjit Singh. “At last, guests from all over the globe can now enjoy the Leeu touch and have an unforgettable experience in a superb setting. This place is close to my heart and I am truly happy to share its beauty with others.”
