Mama Shelter has announced its entry into Luxembourg with a new hotel scheduled to open in May.

In keeping with the brand’s playful philosophy, Mama Luxembourg will interpret its location through a bespoke design.

“Luxembourg is as beautiful as it is cosmopolitan,” comments Jérémie Trigano, CEO of Mama Shelter. “We knew that combining these features with Mama’s fun personality meant that we would get a truly explosive result.”

Situated in close proximity to the city centre, the new property seeks to bridge the gap between the chic style of boutique hotels and the Mama Shelter’s open and laid-back ethos.

As well as 145 guestrooms, the hotel comprises CineMama – an intimate space with seating for up to 31 people, which can be used for presentations and screenings – as well as Mama Works – a co-working space with both individual and shared desks.

Mama Shelter’s signature style will be present throughout the hotel. Taking inspiration from the region’s rich history, the ceilings will be adorned with unique graffiti by French artist Beniloys, and each room will be designed individually by its in-house design team.

A bakery by the entrance of Mama Works will serve freshly baked bread and pastries throughout the day, whilst in the main restaurant, guests may dine at communal tables and choose from a menu created in collaboration with Chef Jean Edern Hurstel.

This space also houses a bar crafted from pink marble – one of the largest in the country.

A selection of arcade games will be available for guests to enjoy, whilst a rooftop – with its own restaurant, island bar and fire pit – offers views over the city and its iconic landmarks.

“Luxembourg is largely known as a financial hub,” comments Serge Trigano, President of Mama Shelter. “The Mama group wants to contribute actively to the discovery of the country’s culture, its landscapes and castles.

“Bankers or teams from great financial institutions, as well as Luxembourgers, will always be most welcome to visit the Mama whenever they wish, to shed their suits and enjoy a meal or cocktail in our restaurant or on our rooftop.”
