Marriott announces plans for UAE’s first Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Marriott International and Eagle Hills have announced that the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in the United Arab Emirates will open in 2029.

Anticipated to open on Ramhan Island, a waterfront destination in Abu Dhabi, the property will offer a secluded escape complete with expansive views across the Arabian Gulf. The Reserve will be situated on an island within the Ramhan Island development, and will comprise 50 one- to four-bedroom villas, including the region’s first floating villas. The property is also set to feature a range of leisure amenities and multiple culinary venues.

“This collaboration with Marriott International on Ramhan Island marks a milestone in our commitment to shaping extraordinary experiences and redefining luxury hospitality,” says Mohammad Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills. “As the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in the UAE, it will set new standards of excellence in the world of luxury experiences.”

Sandeep Walia, Chief Operating Officer, Middle East, Marriott International, adds: “Together with Eagle Hills, we look forward to bringing Ritz-Carlton Reserve to the UAE and offering intimate and transformative experiences in an ultra-luxury setting. This monumental signing marks an important addition to our portfolio in the country where we continue to see a strong demand for luxury experiences.”

The new opening will add to Ritz-Carlton Reserve’s current portfolio of only seven properties across the globe, including in Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Indonesia, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
