ME by Meliá has arrived in Portugal with the opening of ME Lisbon, a purpose-built property situated between Lisbon’s Avenida da Liberdade and Marquês de Pombal.
The hotel was envisioned by the João Paciência studio, with interiors by Broadway Malyan that are elevated with a curated collection of contemporary Portuguese art, hand-selected by Guta Moura Guedes and featuring works by Fernanda Fragateiro, “Sunny” by Silva!, René Cruz Tavares and others.
Throughout the space, jacaranda-inspired lilacs, sculptural ceramics, curated in-room vinyl selections, art-filled corridors and immersive video installations echo the city’s creative energy.

Across 213 guestrooms and suites, ME Lisbon delivers a layered experience of comfort, character and sweeping views – from treetop vistas over Eduardo VII Park to the São Jorge Castle and the Tagus River. At its pinnacle stands the ultimate ME+ Suite, a 107m² sanctuary offering exclusive ME+ services and uninterrupted access to Lisbon’s skyline.
In addition, ME Lisbon’s artistic and social calendar celebrates art, music, fashion and innovation, and the hotel’s partnerships with events such as ARCO Lisboa and Lisbon Design Week, brings its spaces to life – from a soaring six-metre-high lobby to the vibrant rooftop terrace.
As well as two F&B offerings – fismuler on the ground floor by Spain’s Familia La Ancha featuring a Nordic-inspired settings, and attiko by Sunset Hospitality which transforms the rooftop into a pan-Asian fine dining experience – the hotel also houses a 24/7 technogym studio and the KORPO Spa, equipped with a heated indoor pool, Turkish bath and dry sauna.
