Mivan plays its part in new ME London hotel
The Foster + Partners and Gleeds team focused on high-quality joinery and luxury marble finishes, manufactured off-site at Mivan’s Northern Ireland facility, to contribute strongly to the overall aesthetics of the new hotel.
“We found in Mivan the capacity and experience to develop Foster + Partners ambitious design which was delivered through a range of quality finishes comprising of marble, onyx, steel, wenge timber, slate and granite,” said Adolfo Montalvo, Project Manager at Melia Hotels International.
“This met the high expectations of Melia Hotels International and played a significant part in creating the image of its state-of-the-art, lifestyle, 5-star ME London Hotel.”
ME London is Melia Hotels International’s fifth “experience-based,” personality hotel under the ME Hotels brand. The 157-room hotel boasts city views and features two destination restaurants and bars at ground level, as well as a convention centre with 7,857 square feet of available space.
Mivan’s work on the project has been shortlisted in the Association of Interior Specialists (AIS) Awards – Interior Fit-out category. The winners will be announced on 11 June at the Dorchester Hotel in London.
