Opening late Summer 2021, Pan Pacific London is set to bring a series of new event venues to the City of London. The 237-room hotel, located close to Liverpool Street Station, will feature a technologically advanced ballroom accommodating up to 400 guests, as well as an Event Emporium and nine flexible meeting spaces.

Ensuring seamless management and implementation under one roof, a dedicated in-house events team will work in tandem with state-of-the-art technology, speedy WiFi and 5G receivers, ensuring the property is fully equipped to cater for a range of occasions, including virtual and hybrid set ups. Spaces on offer include:

Pacific Ballroom

A notable highlight will be the 464m2 Pacific Ballroom, the largest of its kind in the Square Mile and built to accommodate up to 400 people. It has direct access from Bishopsgate Plaza via a glass escalator and elevator, while guests may also access via the hotel. Whether it’s a conference, awards dinner, board meeting, creative workshop or wedding, The Pacific Ballroom will be equipped with advanced technology including flexible lighting options, surround sound and Smart LED 4K video walls for an immersive experience, and will also have connectivity capabilities via a live feed to the VIP Room located in the pre-function area. The space will also be sub-divisible into two separate soundproofed rooms to provide extra flexibility for organisers.

Event Emporium

The Event Emporium is a dedicated space for planning and organisation. Tailoring everything to individual needs and tastes, the service allows hosts to decide – with the help of the hotel’s connoisseurs – on every last detail of their upcoming event, from the quality of the linen to the taste of the food and scent of the room.

Meeting Place

Meeting Place on the fifth floor comprises five meeting rooms named after coaching inns once located on or close to the current hotel site from the mid-1400s. Centred around an 81m2 breakout area called Punchbowl, the spaces enjoy natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows – most with views over Bishopsgate Plaza – and access to the hotel’s Meetings Concierge. Holding up to 294 guests, the entire floor can be hired exclusively.

Market Square

The hotel’s creative hub is made up of four meeting rooms – each named after the markets on the Square Mile and equipped with advanced technology – wrapped around Market Kitchen, which features a pantry stocked with snacks and beverages alongside breakfast, break and lunch options. Guests are encouraged to help themselves at this self-contained space, also available to hire exclusively for up to 84 people.

“We are working with our designers, Yabu Pushelberg, to offer very flexible spaces, meaning that we are capable of transforming the rooms for many purposes in a short time,” says General Manager Anne Golden. “This is an exciting time for the hotel as we start to build momentum ahead of its opening. Over the coming months, it will be our pleasure to discuss our spaces with potential guests to focus on driving our corporate, conference and leisure opportunities ensuring we become a top choice for meetings and events in London.”

On opening, in addition to the meeting and event spaces – which will total 1213m2 – Pan Pacific London will represent several firsts for the UK capital, including a landscaped public plaza and more outdoor space than many hotels in the surrounding area, with gardens integrated into the design of the outlets and recreational facilities. There will also be a floor dedicated to wellbeing, incorporating an 18.5m infinity pool with cityscape view; treatment rooms and sleeping pods; gym with free training area; and sauna and steam rooms.
