Radisson Red will plant its first flag in Scandinavia with the opening of a 78-key hotel in Aarhus, Denmark. The property offers spacious guestrooms and suites with balconies, a lobby area that doubles as a creative hangout, and a restaurant and bar, as well as several meeting rooms for business travellers.

“With statement design, spacious rooms with big balconies and maximalist details in the form of bold patterns and pops of colour, the first Radisson Red hotel in Scandinavia is a true multisensory experience,” says Tom Flanagan Karttunen, Area Senior Vice President for Radisson Hotel Group in Northern and Western Europe. “This is a great start for Radisson Red in the Nordic region, with new properties planned in both Reykjavik, Iceland and Oslo, Norway.”

Destination restaurant Fred & Co. will serve locals and guests casual and modern cuisine using farm-fresh ingredients, while 24/7 fitness facilities, free Wi-Fi, and plug-and-play connectivity complete the offer.

Helene Hallre, Cluster General Manager Radisson Red Aarhus and Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Aarhus, comments: “Radisson Red Aarhus is the perfect spot for travellers looking for a trendy Nordic aesthetic with industrial design elements. The hotel’s design is what we call effortlessly fashionable, with a strong local focus. Radisson Red follows a relaxed, everything-goes policy with a cool service app and BYOD (bring your own device) tech for instant connectivity.”

Nearby attractions include the ARoS, Musikhuset and the central food market, should guests wish to immerse themselves in the local culture. The hotel, billed as the city’s new “living room”, features bold artwork and invites locals and travellers to come together for a creative and social experience.

Ahead of its opening, Radisson Red Aarhus has implemented the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol – a programme of in-depth cleanliness and disinfection procedures, create in partnership with SGS, which ensure the continued health, safety and security of guests, team members and partners.
