Warsaw welcomes new Renaissance hotel

Renaissance Hotels has announced the opening of Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel, marking the brand’s debut in Poland. Located within easy access to the airport and surrounding business parks, and just twenty minutes from Warsaw city centre, the 225-key hotel features modernist-inspired interiors complemented by graphic art from the Polish Poster Gallery.

“As global air travel demand continues to grow, there is an increasing opportunity to reimagine airport hotels through clever, theatrical design and engaging guest experiences,” comments George Fleck, Vice President of Global Brand Marketing & Management, Renaissance Hotels. “We are thrilled to introduce Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel, whose design coupled with our savvy Navigators and entertaining Evening Bar Rituals provides an open invitation to experience something a little unexpected during our guests’ travels.”

Looking to the avant-garde modernism of the 1930s, 1960s and today, the hotel’s design features modern pops of primary colours in its art, textiles and furniture, which are inspired by the fashion, graphic design and pop culture of the eras.

The lobby area invites guests to visit the Discovery Table, where in-house Navigators advise on handpicked local experiences, while additional public spaces include a signature restaurant serving traditional Polish cuisine with a modern twist, as well as hotel bar that plays host to social events including the nightly Renaissance Bar Ritual.

Elsewhere, the hotel’s spa and wellness area is complete with swimming pool, while business travellers can make use of various conference facilities including a main ballroom, outdoor terrace and eight meeting rooms featuring sound and lighting systems.

John Licence, Vice President Premium and Select Brands Europe at Marriott International, adds: “We are delighted to debut the Renaissance brand in Poland with the opening of Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel. Today’s travellers see every journey as a chance to be inspired by the unexpected and Renaissance provides the perfect lens through which to uncover the hidden gems of this vibrant city.”

With plans to debut 16 hotels in the next 12 months globally, Renaissance Hotels will continue to revamp its staid airport hotel experience – introducing Renaissance Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel in November 2018, which follows the opening of Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel last year.
