The first two hotels – created in partnership with Rosita Missoni, co-founder of the Italian fashion label – are due to open in Kuwait and Edinburgh in 2009.

The Hotel Missoni Jebel Sifah will feature 250 guest rooms plus 50 apartments and villas. It will also offer two restaurants (including Missoni’s signature “cucina”), a 1,000m2 spa, two tennis courts, a private beach featuring an array of water sports, multiple swimming pools, meeting rooms and a 400m2 ballroom.

Jebel Sifah, is a luxurious resort destination being created through a  partnership between the Omani government and the resort developer Orascom Hotels and Development of Egypt.

Located 30 km from the Omani capital Muscat, between the Gulf and Oman’s mountains, the area will feature three other luxury resorts, including Banyan Tree and Four Seasons.

Features include a five kilometre beach, marinas, an 18-hole golf course, spas and boutique shopping. For the culturally inclined, the museums, palaces and souks of Muscat are within easy reach.

In addition to stunning design, 250 guest rooms and 50 apartments and villas, the Hotel Missoni Jebel Sifah is scheduled to open in Q1 2012
