Six Senses announces Zil Pasyon

Six Senses hotels has announced the opening of its Zil Pasyon addition for Autumn 2016.

Located on Félicité Island in the Seychelles, the resort is 30 miles northeast of Mahe; with guests able to reach the island via a 20-minute helicopter journey or a 90-minute boat trip.

The resort includes 30 villas plus 17 private residences. There will also be six distinctive dining and bar venues on the island, sport and leisure facilities, three beaches and a main outdoor pool.

Designed by Six Senses Architecture and Design team and Richard Hywel Evans of Studio RHE in London, the resort features contemporary architecture and interiors that perfectly complement the island environment with a base palette of stone, timber, tile and fabric used to reflect the natural surroundings.

Each villa offers great privacy, spacious grounds, vistas of the ocean and a private infinity pool. The 28 one-guestroom pool villas and 2 two-guestroom pool villas range from 2,150ft2 to 5,380ft2. Villa exteriors feature the subtle grains of balau timber with wooden shingle roofs, exposed wooden beams featuring in the living area’s vaulted ceiling in each villa. Meanwhile, each villa has a large private sun deck and outdoor dining area, as well as a private wine cellar and ice machine

The spa complex features nearly 7,000ft2 of space including five individual villas for treatments, hammam, sauna, saltwater pool, steam, yoga platform and nail bar and will provide innovative holistic treatments from in-house experts.

The resorts restaurants feature The Ocean Kitchen offering a variety of seafood dishes and the Island Café, hosting breakfast and dinner inspired by European, Asian and African cuisine. Drinks and snacks are served throughout the day in an open lounge and include a coffee parlour, signature cocktails and tiffin-box menu. Meanwhile, the upper floor of the café, Lakanbiz, presents a selection of flavoured and aged rums while The Wine Cellar showcases a variety of alcoholic specialities.
