Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with J-Will Partners Co, Ltd has announced the development of Fairmont Niseko, Japan, a new 165-key Fairmont property slated to open in early 2028.
Imagined by architect Daiken Sekkei, Inc with Steve Leung Design Group Limited as main interior designer, the hotel will offer unobstructed panoramic views of Mount Yotei, Niseko’s signature natural landmark.

Nestled within nine acres of lush forest land between Mount Yotei and Mount Annupuri, the resort, its location will grant guests access to outdoor experiences including skiing and golf, as well as multiple dining options in both nearby Niseko Village and Hirafu.
Upon completion, the hotel will redefine luxury, offering a suite of amenities including two restaurants, a spa and wellness offering, a kids’ club and authentic Onsen experiences.

“We are honoured to play a pivotal role in bringing this incredible new resort to life while remaining committed to preserving Niseko’s natural environment,” comments Omer Acar, CEO, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. “Niseko’s international renown for its exceptional powder snow makes it one of the world’s premier luxury ski destinations, attracting enthusiasts from across the globe. Fairmont Niseko will be an exciting new landmark, marking our second property in Japan following the opening of Fairmont Tokyo last year. This is a testament to our growing presence in this dynamic and alluring country and further reinforces Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ leadership position in Asia, complemented by our deep experience operating premium ski and golf resorts in some of North America’s most compelling natural settings.”
