Sublime Hotels has unveiled plans to expand its Comporta resort in May 2026, introducing villas, hospitality facilities, wellness areas and event spaces across the 51-hectare estate.
Located opposite the group’s existing hotel, which has positioned Comporta as an iconic international destination since 2014, the new development preserves the simplicity and connection to nature that anchors the brand. Designed by Sublime together with Andringa Studio, the project will be characterised by stone pines, cork oaks and spacious areas with elegance and authenticity. The villas will be scattered throughout the estate, converging in three main areas: the Atrium, housing restaurants, a lounge bar, library, café and shops. This will also be home to the Portuguese debut of BeefBar.

Wellbeing will be the focus at Aqua, with heated indoor and outdoor pools and a fitness area, complemented by an Italian restaurant and a poolside bar. The Forum will be suitable for a variety of gatherings, with modular rooms with large windows connecting to the outdoor decks, an amphitheatre, a gazebo for celebrations and an exclusive nightclub, the first in Comporta.
Sublime Comporta now extends across two distinct areas: in the Terracotta wing is the original Sublime, where the authentic spirit and relaxed elegance of the resort first took shape; while the Sand wing is home to the contemporary extension with vibrant social areas, new dining and wellness options and space to connect with nature.
