Teardrop Hotels has announced the launch of Teardrop Villas, its first venture into luxury villa rentals. The first villas to be introduced to the Teardrop Villas portfolio are 41 and 42 Lighthouse Street, located in the heart of UNESCO World Heritage Site Galle Fort and designed to be emblematic of both traditional Sri Lankan architecture and modern interior design.

The first of the pair, 41 Lighthouse Street is a three-bedroom villa which has undergone a three-year renovation. The two-storey villa includes a swimming pool – among the largest in the Galle Fort.

Meanwhile, 42 Lighthouse Street, originally the home of an 18th century Dutch merchant, is a four-bedroom villa able to accommodate up to ten guests. Aside from its bedrooms, the property houses a sky terrace, ideal for views over the Galle Fort ramparts and Indian Ocean.
