The Hoxton has unveiled Camp Hox, a pop-up camping experience coming to Oxfordshire this August.

Set in the grounds of the Grade II listed Eynsham Hall, ‘Hoxfordshire’ is an intimate site with just 12 lotus tents, each of which is decked out with a full-sized bed, Hoxton pillows and duvets, greenery from Patch Plants and Blank toiletries. The camp is available to book per tent or for a whole site takeover.

Guests can also expect a classic Hox breakfast bag delivered each morning, a fridge stocked with ingredients, a bottle of Altano natural wine waiting in their tent on arrival, an outdoor pour-your-own Graham’s Port and tonic bar with communal fire pits, a BBQ with all the necessary cooking equipment, and a complimentary pot-washing service – meaning they won’t have to worry about the washing up.

“Camp Hox is an idea we’ve been thinking about pulling off for years, but it’s never made as much sense as it does now. We know a lot of our guests are still weary to travel into cities, so we put our heads together and thought, let’s give them all the things they love about The Hoxton in the countryside.

The project gives everyone the opportunity to escape to the great outdoors for a couple nights, then spend a night with us in London at one of our three Hoxton hotels whenever they’re ready to hit up the city again,” says Sharan Pasricha, founder and CEO of Ennismore.

The camp is located close to Blenheim Palace with Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon just a short drive away, but there’s plenty of countryside to explore on foot or bicycle too – guests can make use of the on-site Temple bikes (free of charge, first come first served) should they want to tour the local area on wheels.

Deep cleaning will take place between each stay, while campers will have their own private lotus tent and lockable powder room with hot shower and toilet. There will also be hand sanitiser visible and readily available throughout, and the team will regularly clean all areas in the communal bar and seating areas.
