Reverie Saigon reveals opening date

The Reverie Saigon has set the date for its grand opening as 1st September 2015.

Located in the Times Square building in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1, the hotel offers 286 guestrooms will views of the storied city and the Saigon River.

Other features include three restaurants, each offering a different cuisine option, the Long @ Times Square café, and a 1200m² Spa with 10 treatment rooms and a beauty salon. The hotel’s 120m² gym has an expansive suite of TechnoGym equipment and views of the hotel’s 24m sixth-floor pool, plus outdoor Jacuzzis and indoor steam rooms and suanas are available. 15 versatile function spaces including La Scala Grand Ballroom, which is decorated with silk and onyx-lined walls and Swarovski crystal chandeliers, are also on offer.

Where previous hotels in the area have sought to reference Vietnam’s colonial-era aesthetics and East Asian roots, The Reverie Saigon has veered in a different direction. Overseen by head architect Kent Lui, the properties exterior exudes sleek contemporary style whilst the interior is distinctly Italian, with individually designed rooms and suites by the finest Italian decorators. The designers have created a property that evokes palaces and chateaus in the use of rich materials, such as the walls of textured Italian silk, and rooms with a distinct aristocratic atmosphere.

“With this hotel, we have tried to create an experience of accommodation that is so singular, so splendid and so unexpected in the one-time Pearl of the Orient that the hotel becomes a place that stays with guests long after they’ve checked-out,” says Herbert Laubichler-Pichler, the Austrian general manager, and vice president of operations for WMC Group, whose roots in Vietnam go back to 2008.

Additionally, Times Square building is home to The Reverie Residence, which offers 89 one and two-bedroom, full-service, extended-stay apartments whose residences will have their own separate entrance and private lounge.
