The Twenty Two to debut in Mayfair

The Twenty Two, a new hotel with an all-day public restaurant and a private members’ club, is set to open on the historic Grosvenor Square in London’s Mayfair in 2022.

Set within a Grade II listed Edwardian manor, the 42500ft2 property will house 31 guestrooms and suites, including a Mews house as well as an all-day restaurant and private members’ club.

Luxury designer Natalia Miyar will lead the interiors, complimenting work by French interior designer Bambi Sloan and working closely with proprietor and creative lead Navid Mirtorabi.

The design concept boasts rich textured fabrics, elegantly embroidered silks, lavish velvets and bespoke wallpapers – a modern interpretation of classic maximalism. It pays homage to the grandeur and legacy of the building, with original architectural features, including double height ceilings, restored within some of the guestrooms and suites.

The F&B offering across the property will provide the highest quality seasonal produce whilst focusing on local suppliers and mindful practices. With the kitchen overseen by Executive Chef Alan Christie, the all-day public restaurant will serve modern British menus with influence from southern Europe. The drinks offer at each of The Twenty Two’s four bars will showcase the brand’s own spirits, creative cocktails and imaginative low-ABV alternatives to suit all tastes.

Members of The Twenty Two and hotel guests will gain exclusive access to an all-day lounge space with a bar and open outdoor terrace that overlooks Grosvenor Square, an evening dining room with a covered outdoor terrace, as well as a cocktail bar.

The project is the realisation of hospitality entrepreneur, hotelier and tech investor Navid Mirtorabi, whose current portfolio includes Humble (Founder), Lunaz Design – Classic Electrical Cars (Co-Founder) and Little Emperors (Investor).

“We want to redefine the traditional Mayfair hotel and club by bringing a new community to this iconic part of the city,” reveals Mirtorabi. “To create a space where people can come together and feel welcome, regardless of where they come from, what their profession is and what they choose to wear. London is a melting pot of creative people from all cultural backgrounds and we want to celebrate that at The Twenty Two.”

“Our vision is to instil a more playful side to Mayfair,” explains Managing Director Darius Namdar. “We want everyone who passes through The Twenty Two to experience exceptional service, be greeted with a smile and, most importantly, feel welcome and accepted, whist enjoying the best hospitality London has to offer.”
