Shanghai-based hotelier Urban Resort Concepts has announced its first development outside of China with The RuMa Hotel & Residences in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle.

Set to open in late 2018, the 253-key property is inspired by the history of Kuala Lumpur, with design firm MQ-Studio blending handcrafted artisanal furnishings, metaphorical accents and luxurious comfort throughout.

Seeking to connect guests to an authentic Malaysian experience the hotel will also feature Atas, a flagship restaurant led by executive chef Tyson Gee, serving up locally sourced heirloom ingredients in recipes from across the Malay Peninsula.

Further amenities include a 24-hour gym, the Ur Spa, whilst views of the Petronas Towers are framed from select guestrooms.
