W expands with Miami launch
W Hotels Worldwide, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, has announced the expansion of its Florida portfolio with the opening of W Miami, formerly Viceroy Miami.
With interiors designed by Kelly Wearstler, the hotel offers 148 guestrooms and suites as well as 38 residential units, a fiftieth floor rooftop cocktail lounge, spa facilities and the brand’s signature W Living Room.
Located on Brickell Avenue in downtown Miami, W Miami will join W South Beach and W Fort Lauderdale to become the third W property in Florida.
W Miami will be the centerpiece of the ten-acre bay front Icon Brickell mixed-use development, notable for its two-acre infinity pool. The hotel lies at the heart of the vibrant Brickell neighbourhood that boasts luxury condos, high quality retail spaces, and upscale restaurants.
