Westin reveals Jakarta hotel

Set to be the highest hotel in Indonesia, The Westin Jakarta will bring the brand to the country’s capital with a property occupying floors 50 to 69 of the mixed-use Gama Tower, located in Kuningan central business district.

The hotel will boast 272 guestrooms and suites with uninterrupted views of the city. Designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates, interiors are inspired by natural, organic forms and textures that interpret the landscape and are translated through dynamic patterns and materials. Illustrated through the chandeliers and artwork, the hotel’s contemporary design features contextual elements including traditional Indonesian motifs and Ikat patterns in the metal screens.

“We are extremely proud to extend Westin’s global reach into Jakarta,” comments Brian Povinelli, Global Brand Leader, Westin Hotels & Resorts. “The design, spectacular views, food and beverage offerings and amenities will bring to life the brand’s commitment to guests’ well-being through a local lens.”

The hotel will feature four unique dining venues serving up a variety of culinary options alongside the brand’s own menus. Seasonal Tastes, the all-day dining restaurant, presents buffet and a la carte options featuring local and international cuisine with seven live cooking stations. Henshin is situated on the top three floors of the building and features Nikkei cuisine with Japanese-Peruvian favours prepared by speciality chefs, whilst a rooftop alfresco bar will offer the brand’s signature cocktail programme.

The Westin Jakarta also features a 200-capacity banquet area perched on the top few levels of the building, providing 360-degree views of Jakarta city. Elsewhere, for events and weddings, the hotel will offer 3,000m² of function rooms including the 1,500 capacity Java Ballroom on the Ground floor.
