Atelier Ace Athens

Atelier Ace to open outpost on the Athens Riviera

Atelier Ace has announced that Ace Hotel & Swim Club Athens will open its doors in summer 2024 on the Athens Riviera.

Developed in partnership with Brook Lane Capital, the 120-room hotel will be located in Glyfada. “We have been actively looking for new locations for the Ace Hotel & Swim Club brand extension, inspired by the deep connection our guest has to our beloved Swim Club property in Palm Springs,” says Brad Wilson, Partner & CEO, Ace Hotel Group / Atelier Ace. “Athens proved to be the ideal site — the Athens Riviera has proximity to a metropolitan centre rich in culture, art and history, while also offering coastal adjacency and a retreat from city life. The Riviera is undergoing a renaissance, and is becoming a destination that travellers seek out, distinct from a trip to the Greek islands or a city visit to downtown Athens. We look forward to bringing Ace’s point of view to the area while complementing the local culture, and as with all our projects, creating a home for travellers and the local community alike.”

The project will be the second resort-style property in the brand portfolio, following in the footsteps of the Palm Springs outpost, which opened in 2009. Ace Hotel & Swim Club Palm Springs will be undergoing a property-wide renovation in 2024, led by the original design partners for the hotel, Commune Design. The Swim Club brand extension is set to be a focus for Ace in the years to come, with additional resort properties also on the horizon.

The announcement of Ace Hotel & Swim Club Athens comes on the heels of the recently-announced Ace Hotel Fukuoka – slated for 2027 – which will be the brand’s second property in Japan.
