Park Lane Copenhagen

Park Lane Copenhagen opens its doors

Park Lane Copenhagen, a new member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, has opened its doors following extensive renovations.

The transformation was led by &Tempel, helmed by Camilla van den Tempel, who has combined the building’s historic heritage with a timeless design.

Located in Hellerup, a suburb north of Copenhagen, the building at Strandvejen 203 has been a central part of the community since the 1920s. It originally served as the home of a local club, later became a cinema, and more recently functioned as a hotel. This rich history was a source of inspiration for van den Tempel, who has worked to preserve the building’s soul throughout its transformation, also blending Scandinavian design elements with an international flair.

In the newly renovated suites, original high ceilings and intricate stucco have been carefully retained, while the chandeliers from the former ballroom have been restored. Other design details include custom-made furniture, handcrafted wallpaper and wooden chevron floors.

“What makes Park Lane Copenhagen truly special is the blend between local heritage and international appeal,” comments van den Tempel.
