This week on The Way It Is, Sleeper’s Editor-at-Large Guy Dittrich sits down with Verena Haller, Chief Design Officer at The Standard Hotels, live from Bangkok.

As the Chief Design Officer for Standard International, Haller is helping to expand The Standard brand worldwide, leading all design and development efforts, whilst also carefully curating and managing the collective of design talent in partnership with the brand. Alongside Shawn Hausman, Haller directed the design of The Standard, London, the brand’s first international property which opened last year and received five awards at AHEAD Europe 2020.
