Ultra-luxury hotel group Aman has appointed Guy Heywood as Chief Operating Officer of new lifestyle brand, Janu.

Heywood joins Janu from his previous role as CEO of Hotels at Habitas. Prior to joining the experience-led hospitality group, he spent three years working as COO at Six Senses Hotel Resorts Spas and before that eight years with Alila Hotels and Resorts.

This new position marks Heywood’s return to Aman, where he took charge of the group’s US & Americas portfolio between 2004 and 2007. Heywood’s 30-year hospitality career also includes informative roles and leadership positions at the likes of InterContinental, The Regent, Four Seasons.

Slated to launch in 2023, Aman’s sister brand Janu will debut in Tokyo alongside the inaugural Aman Residences.
