Laufen Meda Bathroom

Laufen partners with Snøhetta to debut new bathroom collection

Laufen will present its latest collection, Meda, at the International Bathroom Exhibition in April 2024.

Envisioned by Swiss designer Peter Wirz of Studio Vetica, the collection will be on display at Laufen’s booth, which has been designed by architecture firm Snøhetta.

Entitled ‘Matter’, the booth sees the Norwegian architecture firm explore the tactile allure of the ceramics, clay, plaster and brass used throughout Laufen’s products. Amidst this backdrop, the brand’s latest bathroom collections – Meda, Kartell and Ilbagnoalessi, alongside the innovative Smart bathroom – are on display on towering, industrial-style shelving.

Meda, the latest launch, alternates clean lines with soft shapes for a timeless bathroom design. “The personality of Laufen and its products reflect a symbiosis of world class design, innovation and functionality,” says Wirz, whose partnership with Laufen spans back 20 years. “Our aim was to create a new line for everyone, for every home, with the highest quality and timeless design that works, whether it takes centre stage or acts as a reliable friend in the background. The new Laufen Meda will be your future companion and made for life.”

The new collection, whose ethos is ‘Made for Life’, is a complete system of ceramics, faucets and furniture, characterised by modularity that ensures adaptability to any bathroom environment. “The calm, soft and gentle design language of the new product line is the basis for the extended Laufen brand experience,” adds Wirz. “People are looking for peace and security in a hectic world. The new design concept takes up this desire.”
