GuestHouse unveils plans for three UK hotels

GuestHouse – a new family-run hotel brand created by three brothers, who have joined forces to breathe new life into heritage buildings – has announced plans to open three UK properties over the next two years.

Each hotel will occupy a city-centre site and have its own individual character, though GuestHouse’s five pillars – wonderment; indulgence; happiness; realness; hereness; and generosity – will unite the portfolio.

Opening in May 2021, GuestHouse’s debut project reimagines a beloved Bath classic on one of the UK’s grandest streets. The brothers have recruited acclaimed British designer, Martin Hulbert, to reboot the interiors he originally conceived at No.15. New lures come in the form of a revamped spa, a duo of decadent suites, and a restaurant with a mellow makeover that champions ‘Wild British’ cuisine. In keeping with GuestHouse’s fun-loving ethos, there will be plenty of playful extras, from vinyl record players to handmade Georgian doll houses that double up as help-yourself pantries stocked with local goodies. Patrons can explore the city with help from the Guest List: a curated edit of in-the-know tips, plus handy illustrated maps.

1 Clifton, York
GuestHouse’s York outpost, 1 Clifton, will bring the brand’s relaxed bonhomie to a Regency building with stately proportions in Autumn 2021. Inside the Grade II-listed townhouse are high ceilings, original features, artful interiors, locally sourced supplies and GuestHouse signatures like a destination restaurant, bar and spa.

GuestHouse Brighton
In 2022 meanwhile, the brand will open a Brighton property in a neoclassical, Georgian-style building – parts of which are Grade II listed. Vibrant artworks and interiors will capture the city’s sunny disposition, while cosy communal areas will include a relaxed, sociable restaurant that spills out onto a view-toting terrace. The hotel’s central location will also place the city’s beach, boutiques and bars at visitors’ fingertips.
