Hard Rock reveals London hotel

Hard Rock International and glh hotels have announced Hard Rock Hotel London, a new property set to open in London’s West End in 2018.

The 900-room hotel will be located at the crossroads of Oxford Steer and Park Lane, and directly at Marble Arch on Hyde Park. Hard Rock Hotel London will be a conversion of the existing Cumberland Hotel, and will celebrate London’s rich culture of classic and contemporary music through curated memorabilia displays, housing over 80,000 historical pieces.

A short walk from the original Hard Rock Café, the upcoming property will feature a vast lobby lounge offering signature cocktails and live music, an on-site Hard Rock Café, a Rock Shop featuring the brand’s iconic merchandise, a full service Rock Spa, signature restaurant and sophisticated speakeasy.

Mike De Noma, CEO of GLH Hotels comments: “With Hard Rock’s proven track record of world-class service and hospitality, combined with glh Hotels’ extensive operating skills and expertise in the region as the largest hotel owner-operator in London, we are confident the future Hard Rock Hotel will be a success and we look forward to continuing to grow our collaboration.”

In the past year, Hard Rock International has announced ten projects, including Hard Rock Hotel New York, Hard Rock Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie and Hard Rock Hotel Atlanta.

“Hyde Park, London has always been a special city as the birthplace of our brand,” comments Hamish Dodds, CEO at Hard Rock International. “We look forward to completing the circle and establishing the Hard Rock Hotel in London, a legendary musical city that brought the greatest styles of rock to the world stage.”
