AG Hotels has revealed that Il Tornabuoni, designed by Andrea Auletta, will open in October this year.

Situated in Florence, in the city’s historic centre and just a stone’s throw from Ponte Vecchio and the Arno river, the 5-star hotel has been designed to welcome an international clientele.

“Each floor has led to a different distribution layout and in this setting I have dealt with every element, from the design of individual furniture and furnishing pieces, to the specific design of carpets, wallpaper and decorative items,” comments Auletta.

The hotel comprises 63 guestrooms, with three different F&B offers, one of which is Il Magnifico Restaurant & Bistro on the ground floor is a tribute to Tuscan gastronomic tradition.

In the hotel’s ground floor common areas, sandstone elements give a historic Florentine atmosphere by evoking the lights and shadows of a heritage building.  Leather seats and harmonies of greys and beiges contribute to the relaxing ambience.

The ground floor outdoor spaces reflect the same tranquility as the indoor areas, creating a cozy and intimate environment where an abundance of greenery adds a touch of privacy.

The rooms on each floors are painted in different colours such as orange, peacock, grey and mustard, whilst the bathrooms, with their expansive layouts, bring to mind ideas of ancient spas.

On the fourth floor, Lucie Gourmet restaurant opens onto a terrace, offering an array of international flavours. Boldly combining pink and peacock colours with comfortable seating and sofas, the restaurant exudes a welcoming elegance. A café and champagne bar on the ground floor further add a touch of originality for those who wish to try Supertuscan wines and sparkling champagnes.
