Cheltenham is set to welcome a new hotel concept focusing on a contactless guest experience this summer.

The brainchild of Julian Dunkerton, co-founder of fashion retailer Superdry and Cotswold’s hotel and restaurant portfolio The Lucky Onion, Cult Hotels will focus on social distanced comfort and having as few touch points as possible for guests, including automated check-ins and self-service pantries.

The brand’s debut and flagship hotel, The George, will comprise five Grade II listed Regency townhouses with 46 guestrooms, all of which have been refurbished to weave original features with modern elements.

Elsewhere in The Lucky Onion’s portfolio, it’s newly re-opened properties are currently offering packages for weeklong and weekend staycations. The Wheatsheaf Inn and No.38 The Park both feature dog-friendly guestrooms, while No.131 The Promenade, in the heart of Cheltenham, offers 36 rooms.
